Troy Ehlers is a fiction writer, originally from Lake Minnetonka in Minnesota. He earned a B.S. in Finance at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities and an MFA in Writing from Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky. He was the founding editor of Minnetonka Review and interned at Milkweed Editions. He has taught one semester as an adjunct professor at Concordia University, St. Paul. His stories have been published in Quercus Review, Beloit Fiction Journal, and The Louisville Review. His collection and novella in progress was a finalist for the James Jones First Novel Fellowship. He has recently been named Crab Orchard Review’s 2014 Jack Dyer Fiction Prize Winner, with publication of his story “Five Deaths of Ellie Marsh” forthcoming. Also forthcoming is a story in the New Hampshire-based pulp fiction anthologies, Love Free or Die! and Love Free or Ride! He’s currently working on a collection and two novels simultaneously.
